My 5 Favorite Men’s Brands To Thrift, Resell, and Wear

I started reselling men’s clothing about four years ago and along the way I have learned dozens of brands that resell for good money. Naturally, as I have bought clothing to resell, I sometimes decide to keep some things for my own wardrobe.

Here is a list of 5 brands that:

-Sell well for good profit

-Thrift stores usually don’t price up

-Are good quality and nice looking

Ralph Lauren RRL (Double RL)

Double RL is one of Ralph Lauren’s most expensive lines (beaten only by Ralph Lauren Purple Label). They sell rugged-looking western wear and are most popular for their jeans and jackets. The quality and fit are top of the line. The best brand for western wear and work wear .

Thrift store prices I have paid: $3-$8

What I have Sold it for: $30-$80

Be on the lookout for leather jackets, denim jackets, and denim jeans. The higher end leather jackets resell around the $1,000 mark and a good pair of jeans can bring you in around $250.

SuitSupply

SuitSupply is exactly what it sounds like—formal wear and suits. It is a more recent brand (was founded in 2000) that offers styling and tailoring. SuitSupply has good fabrics and is the absolute best when it comes to fit. Excellent brand for those who have a more refined aesthetic.

Be on the lookout for full suits and blazers. A good jacket sells for around $150 used while a full suit can bring in around $300.

Brioni

Brioni is a high-end Italian suit brand that was founded in 1945. The suits will set you back thousands of dollars (MSRP of course). Thrift stores rarely know about Brioni though, and you can find their dress shirts for cheap and their blazers for a fraction of retail.

Thrift store prices I have paid: $5-$10

What I have sold it for $35-$125

Be on the lookout for full suits, blazers, and pants. Full suits can net you around $800 while certain jackets sell for about $500 used.

Allen Edmonds

Allen Edmonds are my absolute favorite shoe brand. Amazing quality, tons of styles to choose from, and great resale value. All Allen Edmond have a style name on the inside of the shoe, making them easy to look up.

Thrift store prices I have paid: $8-$20

What I have sold them for: $40-$120

Be on the lookout for the Strand, Park Avenue, and Dalton. Do some research on “shell cordovan” as well. The higher end cordovan styles sell for $300-$500.
